Team Selection Process
Players should be contacted by their coach within 72 hours of the annual team selection process.
Team Selection Procedures
- Kearney Little League will use the results of the annual skills assessment to determine a ranking of the players in each division.
- Each Evening program division (9’s, 10’s, 11-12’s, Juniors and Seniors) will hold a separate team selection process meeting run by the Kearney Little League Board. During this meeting the players in that division are divided as equally as possilbe between the appropriate number of teams for that division. The goal is teams that are as evenly balanced as possible.
- All players and teams will be re-distributed annually.
Designating Leagues
After the selection order is completed a flip of a coin will determine if the even or odd numbered teams are Blue or Red for the purpose of each levels All-Star game teams only. Heads will determine if Blue League is odd and tails Red League is odd. The coin flip will be done by the presiding board member administering the team selection process and in the presence of the board.
